A Port Hope resident has won $ 91,770 with Poker Lotto.
Deborah Garland, 70, of Port Hope, recently won the $ 86,770 Poker Lotto All-In Jackpot, followed by another $ 5,000 in the instant portion of her Poker Lotto game, which led to its combined earnings at $ 91,770, OLG recently announced.
“I was in a state of shock and asleep when I found out I had won,” Garland said as he was at the OLG Prize Center in Toronto to collect his winnings. “I told my family and they are very happy.”
Garland plans to complete some home improvements with his earnings.
The winning Garland ticket was purchased at the A-Plus Convenience Store on Wellington Street in Port Hope.
Lotto Poker players can opt for “all-in” for an additional $ 1 to have the chance to instantly win a jackpot that starts at $ 10,000 and grows until it is won, OLG noted. More information is available at OLG.ca.
OLG is booking face-to-face awards at its awards center in Toronto. However, OLG continues to encourage those with claims between $ 1,000 and $ 49,999.90 to send them online or by email, as the availability of appointments at these award levels is limited.
“Sending claims online is fast and secure,” OLG added.
Customers with prizes worth more than $ 50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options.
