Season 13 of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) continues through the winter months and will stop at Running Aces Casino in Columbus, Minnesota, from December 1-11 Winter Classic of Poker.
The MSPT Winter Poker Classic will feature 11 trophy events and counting $770,000 in guaranteesincluding the $1,110 buy-in main event with a $300,000 guarantee from December 8-11.

A look at the schedule
The MSPT Winter Poker Classic will begin on December 2nd with a $360 mystery reward event, a two-day tournament with a $100,000 guarantee.
After that, a $250 Sunday party The tournament will be played on December 4 over two days $185 Deepstack The $20,000 guaranteed event begins later in the evening.
Other events to be played in the following days include a $250 seniors event, a $250 Pot-Limit Omaha event, a $300 Team Championship already $2,500 MSPT High Roller Hall of Famewhich will last two days from December 7.
MSPT Running Aces
The $1,110 guaranteed Main Event will feature three initial flights, the first of which will begin on December 8th. Players will start with a starting stack of 25,000 chips with blinds of 100/100/100 and levels lasting 40 minutes.
Day 2 of the event will be played on December 11th and will feature a winner, who will take home the lion’s share of the $300,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Previous winners
In March, the MSPT Showdown Series took place at Running Aces Casino and it was seen Chan Pelton going through a field of 920 runners in the main event to earn $169,271. The Texas native defeated the Minnesotans Ben Hanson during heads-up play, which in turn took home $104,241.
The Main Event generated $890,900 in prize money, so don’t be surprised if the upcoming MSPT Winter Poker Classic breaks the $300,000 guarantee.

At last year’s Winter Poker Classic at Minnesota’s Canterbury Park, it was Kyna England who took out the $1,100 buy-in Main Event for $186,709 and to close out Season 12 POY honors.

The featured player, who recently landed an ambassador deal with ClubGG, defeated Matt Morfitt during head-to-head play as the Iowan took home $115,053.

MSPT Season 13 Player of the Year Rankings
With the completion of season 13, a member of the MSPT Hall of Fame Josh Reichard is at the top of the POY standings with 6,125 points, well ahead Dan Bekavac (4,950 points) i CJ Peake (4,225 points). Other players in the running include Justin Barnum (4th – 4,200), Wesley Cannon (7th – 3,300 points) i Craig Trost (9th – 3,000 points).

After the stop at Running Aces Casino, MSPT will close out the year at venetian in Las Veas with a $1,100 Main Event December 28-30.
