PokerStars Remains in Greek Market, Following Receipt of Full License

by KZ Poker

PokerStars has maintained its presence in Greece following the receipt of a full online gambling license from the Hellenic Gambling Commission (HGC), the company reported last week.

The Flutter brand – part of its international division – will retain its full suite of online gambling platforms, including poker, casino, and sports.

Contrary to other reports, this is not a new market entry for the operator. PokerStars has offered its services in the Greek market for almost a decade under a provisional license.

However, in July 2021, the operator received a full online gambling license สล็อต ไม่มีขั้นต่ํา and, as of last week, it appears that the operator has relaunched its services, securing the operator’s market position until 2028. It is among half a dozen licensed online poker rooms currently operational in Greece.

“Launching PokerStars under a full local license in Greece follows months of hard work from teams across the business,” said Dan Taylor, CEO of Flutter International. “I’d like to thank them all for helping to make PokerStars’ range of safe and trusted products available to players in Greece and for contributing.”
