PokerStars US Half Price Sunday: Dagostino and Michalek among the latest winners

Always a favorite player, the PokerStars Half Price Sunday the promotion took place on February 5th and awarded a bunch of big winners PokerStars Pennsylvania and the combined fields a PokerStars Michigan i PokerStars New Jersey.

The recent half-price Sunday offering marked the first time the promotion has run with a combined pool of players, and it did not disappoint, delivering the largest $50 event in PokerStars’ US-regulated history united

In total, more than 8,400 entries were seen in ten events that generated $310,000 in prize money. A robust satellite offering provided several Cinderella stories for the night, including a player from Pennsylvania “noup11”, who was able to turn a $5 satellite into a $9,292 win.

Elsewhere, Michigan swept the final table of Half Price Sunday Special – $50 NLHE with all nine players hailing from the Wolverine State. Four of those players entered the tournament via an included satellite “Jesse Vilchez” who took second place for $11,238 after entering the tournament for just $5.

Guaranteed to be broken

The Half Price Sunday events are as popular as ever, with several of the events smashing guaranteed prize numbers.

In Pennsylvania, the $50,000 guaranteed Half Price Sunday Special – $50 NLHE which “Noup11” defeated attracted 1,310 runners for a prize pool of $59,605.

In the same way, the Half Price Sunday High Roller – $125 NLHE [6-Max] broke the $20,000 guarantee with a prize pool of $37,392. “Call YourMommy” took home the $6,939 first prize after beating the field of 328 runners.

Meanwhile, in New Jersey and Michigan, the $7,500 guaranteed Sunday Warm Up Half Price $15 NLH attracted 675 entrants for a total prize pool of $9,214, with $1,589 of that going to first place. Norman “ADMSnackBar” Michalek.

The $100,000 guaranteed Half Price Sunday Special – $50 NLHE broke six figures with 2,347 entrants for a prize pool of $106,789 as “Varncass” reduced the event by $15,768.

Meanwhile, the $50,000 guaranteed Half Price Sunday High Roller – $125 NLHE [6-Max] generated $63,270 in prizes as a Daniel “st0neydanza” Dagostino bested a field of 555 runners to take home $9,091 after a care settlement.
