The first WSOP MI online bracelet program is revealed

by KZ Poker

It’s been more than a month since the WSOP was launched in Michigan, and one of the biggest questions was: when could the Michiganders compete for the World Series of Poker gold bracelets from the comfort of their home?

Well, that has been officially answered now, as WSOP officials have revealed the timing of the first series of WSOP MI online bracelets, pokerfuse may reveal.

Starting June 5, as in other states, there will be a total of eight bracelet events for players in the state of the Great Lakes, which will be held every Sunday through July 17 and one on Saturday, July 16th.

Unfortunately, at least for this year, the bracelet events will be exclusive to Michigan players and will not join the New Jersey and Nevada group of players, as the state has yet to officially review and join the Multistate Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA).

It’s not too far off that day, as the state regulatory board, the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), is “confident” that it will “sign [MSIGA] with speed ”after the review by the Attorney General of the State. It is very possible that when the next online bracelet event was held, WSOP MI would have connected its player groups with WSOP NJ & NV, resulting in much larger tournament fields across the board.

But before that happens, Michigan online poker players will have the best chance of getting a gold bracelet, as the pitches are expected to be small considering the group of players will be limited to one state.

The 53rd Annual World Series of Poker is just a few weeks away and a total of 88 live bracelet events will be held this year on the Las Vegas Strip.

Given that the world is adapting to the new standard and that COVID-19 has fewer effects, expect multiple records to be broken both live and virtually.

The online bracelet series begins June 5 and runs through July 17 in New Jersey, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Three separate series will be run with NJ and NV sharing the same group of players and the PA and MI series will only be restricted to players from their own states.
